(Two Day Course 12 hours contact time)
A Health & Safety Approved Course that complies with the Health & Safety (First Aid updated 2009) Regulations 1981 qualifications of workplace First Aiders must attend a re-qualification course.
Who Should Attend?
Personnel who already hold a First Aid at Work Certificate and who require re-qualification to keep certification valid.
The person nominated should:
- Hold a First Aid at Work Certificate.
- Possess an aptitude to absorb new knowledge and skills.
- Have duties that do not prevent them going immediately to an emergency.
- People who want to update knowledge of First Aid (personal or work requirements).

What will you learn?
The course will give First Aiders the opportunity to update knowledge and skills to deal with a First Aid Emergency in the work place (or home). Candidates will gain practical skills in dealing with First Aid and an opportunity to discuss any experiences during the past years as a First Aider.

- Safe Assessment of a situation

- Management of an unconscious casualty

- Crush Injuries
- Disorders of the Airway

- Fractures
- Head Injuries

- Asthma
- Eye Injuries
- Anaphylaxis
Any site specific needs for First Aid Requirements will be discussed.
Certification
Upon completion of the two day course and successfully completing final assessment successful candidates receive a HSE-Compliant certificate to allow them to practise for further three years after which a re-qualification course becomes necessary. (Level 3)
