Under Manual Handling Regulations, all employers should reduce potential injury from moving and handling operations.
Who Should Attend?
People, who may be required to move, handle or lift people or loads in the course of there normal working activities. Where an employer has carried out a risk assessment and identified a need for people to be made aware of safe Handling Techniques.
The person nominated should:
- Possess an aptitude to absorb new knowledge and skills.
- Have duties that involve Lifting, Pushing, Pulling, or Carrying.
- People having duties that involve the manual handling of people.
- Any person in working or starting work for the first time (induction).

Certification
Upon completion of the course successful candidates receive a certificate of attendance after which a re-qualification course is recommended annually. (NVQ Level 2)
