The person nominated should:
- Possess an aptitude to absorb new knowledge and skills.
- Any person with supervisory responsibilities.

Content
The course consists of:
- Fire precautions regulations/legislation
- Chemistry of fire and how fires spreads
- Common causes of fire
- Safety features within buildings
- Action on discovering a fire
- Calling the Fire Service
- Hazard spotting/hazard reduction
- Fire Notices
- Evacuation procedures
- Evacuating people with special needs
- Liaising with Fire Controllers/Fire Service
- Daily and Weekly Fire Checks
- Record Keeping
- Staff induction
- Dealing with bomb threats (If requested)
- Fire extinguisher: Practice and theory
Outcome
The aim of this training is to allow employees to fully assume the duties of Fire Marshals or Fire Wardens at their place of work. All delegates receive a comprehensive course handbook.
